The Residents

4 lives.
Donkeys.

Every one a permanent resident. Every one home for life. None of them will ever be rehomed, sold, or returned. This is their address forever.

Andi Forever home
Andi
Male
Andi is a steady, easygoing donkey who arrived as part of a rehoming and has been a reliable presence on the property ever since. He is not the loudest animal here or the most demanding, but he is always there -- standing quietly at the fence, watching the day unfold, doing exactly what he does best.
"Andi has two speeds: slow, and slightly slower. He finds both perfectly acceptable."

Hazel Grace Forever home
Hazel Grace
Female
Hazel Grace is thirty years old and has lived enough life for several animals her size. She was pulled from a kill lot with no future ahead of her -- and when she arrived at Soft Landing, we discovered she was pregnant. She foaled here, in safety, surrounded by people who were rooting for her. She is retired now, comfortable, and deeply unimpressed by almost everything, which she has more than earned the right to be.
"Thirty years old, survived the kill lot, and had a foal in a safe place. She has earned that attitude."

Ollie Forever home
Ollie
Male
Ollie is steady, dependable, and almost impossible to rattle. He arrived without much fuss, found his place in the herd, and has been quietly holding things together ever since. He is not the most dramatic animal on the property -- not by a long shot -- but he may be the most reliably content.
"The calmest animal on the farm. Does not know it. Does not need to."

Tilly Ann Forever home
Tilly Ann
Female
Tilly Ann was the first animal born at Soft Landing -- delivered right here on the property by Tracy. She has never known anything but this place and these people, and it shows in everything about her. She belongs here in a way that is hard to put into words, because she was born into it.
"First life born at Soft Landing. Tracy delivered her. She has never left."
